The NWS in indianapolis has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for:
western carroll county in north central indiana tippecanoe county in
west central indiana this includes the city of lafayette until 215 am
est.
At 138 am est, national weather service doppler radar indicated a severe
thunderstorm capable of producing damaging winds in excess of 60 mph.
This storm was located 6 miles southwest of otterbein, or about 16 miles
west of lafayette, and moving northeast at 60 mph.
The severe thunderstorm will be near, otterbein around 145 am est west
lafayette around 150 am est battle ground around 155 am est yeoman
around 205 am est
Doppler radar has indicated some rotation within this storm. If a
tornado is spotted, act quickly and move to a place of safety in a
sturdy structure, such as a basement or small interior room.
